Turkey Run Potomac Heritage Trail

This route is a popular ~2-mile loop with stream crossings, river views, and moderate elevation gain.

IMPORTANT:
This is a group hike. Please stay with the group, respect the trail, and come prepared to enjoy the experience.

Creek crossings (Turkey Run and Dead Run)

Hiking shoes with good grip (trail can be slippery)

Parking & Directions:
Park in the C1 parking area (trail starts here)
After Exit 43 onto the GW Parkway, take the first exit marked Turkey Run Park
Parking is limited; arrive early
Carpooling is strongly encouraged

Trail Notes:
Trail conditions may be impacted after heavy rain or flooding
Expect wet areas and uneven footing
